📖 How to Play

What quiz modes are available?

Classic Quiz — Pick a category and difficulty, answer 10 questions, and receive a final score. No lives lost for wrong answers — ideal for learning.

Infinite Mode — Answer questions continuously with 3 lives. Each wrong answer or timeout costs one life. The game ends when all lives are gone. Your score is the total correct answers.

Level Mode — Progress through themed levels. Each level has a fixed number of questions. Complete them all to unlock the next level. A Boss question at the end of each level is worth 50 XP.

Daily Quiz — One quiz per day, shared by all players. Completing it maintains your daily streak and earns bonus coins.

How does the timer work?

Every question has a 15-second countdown. If the timer reaches zero the question is automatically marked incorrect and the next question loads. The timer resets for each new question. Applies to all quiz modes including Daily.

How do lives work?

Infinite Mode and Level Mode each start with 3 lives (❤️). A wrong answer or timeout removes one life (shown as 🖤).

In Infinite Mode, losing all 3 lives ends the session and saves your score.
In Level Mode, losing all 3 lives triggers Game Over for that level. If you also have no lifelines remaining, the level locks until the next day.

What are lifelines and how do I use them?

Lifelines are power-ups you can activate during a quiz. Each costs lifeline points from your daily balance:

50/50 (costs 2) — Removes two wrong options, leaving two choices.
Hint (costs 2) — Shows a text hint for the current question.
Reveal (costs 3) — Reveals the first letter of the correct answer.
Retry (costs 1) — After a wrong answer, retry the same question without losing a life.

You receive 1 free lifeline per day, up to a maximum balance of 5. Unused lifelines carry over. Extra lifelines can be purchased with coins from the Rewards Shop.

How do coins work?

Coins are the in-app currency:

Earn coins by completing quizzes, claiming daily rewards, and hitting streak or level milestones.
Spend coins in the Rewards Shop on lifelines, lifeline bundles, or a 24-hour XP Boost.

Claim your daily reward from the Rewards page each day. A 7-day streak gives a bonus payout.

How does XP and levelling work?

Each correct answer earns 10 XP.
Boss questions in Level Mode earn 50 XP.
A 24-hour XP Boost (purchasable with coins) doubles all XP earned.
Your total XP determines your player level shown on the leaderboard and profile.

How does the leaderboard and daily streak work?

Leaderboard — All players are ranked globally by score. Click any player's name to view their public profile.

Daily streak — Play at least one quiz per day to keep your streak alive. Missing a day resets it to zero. Streak milestones (5, 10, 25, 50 days) award coins and badges.

What happens when Level Mode is locked?

If you run out of lives and have no lifelines remaining, Level Mode locks until the next day. You will see a "Level Mode Locked" screen showing when it resets. You can unlock it sooner by purchasing lifelines from the Rewards Shop.

What is AI QuizMaster?

AI QuizMaster is an interactive quiz platform that generates personalized quizzes using advanced AI. You can choose categories, difficulty levels, and track your progress with streaks, stats, and history.

Do I need an account?

You can play basic quizzes without an account, but signing in unlocks streak tracking, quiz history, leaderboards, and cross‑device syncing.

How do I navigate around the app?

Click the logo in the top-left to return to the homepage (or dashboard when signed in), or use your browser’s back button.

On quiz and results screens a Back To Dashboard button appears—tap it to return to the dashboard/home.

What happens if I close the app during a quiz?

Your quiz progress is automatically saved. When you return, you'll see a "Continue Quiz?" prompt allowing you to resume exactly where you left off.

Why did my quiz not load or show an error?

This can happen if:

Your internet connection dropped
Your browser blocked cookies or local storage
The AI generation service temporarily failed
You refreshed during a question load

Try refreshing the page. If the issue persists, see the troubleshooting section below.

What data do you store?

We store only what's needed to run your account: quiz history, streaks, scores, and profile settings. For details, check the Privacy Policy in the app.

How do I delete my account or request data removal?

Email us at aiquizmaster.app@gmail.com and we will handle account/data deletion per our Privacy Policy.

🔧 Troubleshooting

The app isn't loading properly

Try the following:

Refresh the page
Ensure you have a stable internet connection
Disable aggressive ad‑blockers or privacy extensions
Try opening the app in an incognito/private window

The quiz won't start or keeps showing an error

This usually means the browser couldn't fetch new questions. Try:

Refreshing the page
Logging out and logging back in
Clearing cookies and site data (see below)
Trying a different browser

My answers aren't saving or the app forgets my progress

This happens when:

Cookies or local storage are disabled
The browser is in private/incognito mode
A privacy extension is blocking storage

Enable cookies and local storage for the best experience.

How do I clear cookies and site data?

Clearing site data often fixes loading or login issues.

Chrome (Desktop)

Open Settings → Privacy and Security → Site Settings
Select "View permissions and data stored across sites"
Search for AI QuizMaster
Click "Clear data"

Safari (iPhone/iPad)

Open Settings
Tap Safari → Advanced → Website Data
Search for the site
Swipe to delete

Edge (Desktop)

Open Settings → Cookies and site permissions
Click "Manage and delete cookies and site data"
Search for the site
Remove stored data

Why does the app ask for cookies?

Cookies and local storage allow the app to:

Save your quiz progress
Keep you signed in
Track streaks and stats
Load quizzes faster

We don't use them for advertising.

Why does the app look different on my phone?

The UI is responsive and adapts to your screen size. All features remain available, but layout may shift for readability.

How are quizzes generated?

Quizzes are created using AI models that generate unique, category‑specific questions. No two quizzes are exactly the same.

Why do some questions feel harder than others?

Difficulty depends on:

Your selected difficulty level
The AI's interpretation of the topic
Your past performance (if adaptive mode is enabled)
